The service and the doctors
What is ReConnect by Days of Confidence?
ReConnect is the digital health care solution that coordinates your (peri)menopause journey over time: the same doctor, trained in this transition, and a team beside you between appointments, at your own pace. Understanding what's happening, moving forward with confidence.
Can I see a menopause specialist doctor online?
Yes. All appointments are remote, from home. You're seen by a doctor registered in France and trained in (peri)menopause, who has read your questionnaire and your test results before the appointment. Your prescription is sent to you digitally and is valid at your usual pharmacy.
Are your doctors registered?
Yes. All the doctors who hold appointments for France are registered and licensed to practise in France. We select them on three criteria: a recognised specialism, an active clinical practice and accredited training in (peri)menopause.
How does ReConnect care work?
ReConnect care lasts 3 months (Flow) or 12 months (Harmony). You always see the same doctor, who has read your history before each appointment. Between appointments, you log your symptoms in your app, ask your care coordinator your questions and your health coach supports you with sleep, nutrition and physical activity. At your next appointment, your doctor can see what has changed. You'll find full details of the plans on the ReConnect page.
Which doctor should you see for menopause?
Several specialties deal with (peri)menopause: medical gynaecology, general practice, endocrinology. Just as important as the specialty is specific training in menopause: a university diploma in endocrine gynaecology, membership of the GEMVI, regular practice in this field. At Days of Confidence, each doctor consults on this subject alone.
Can I book a consultation if I don't live in a big city?
Yes. All consultations take place remotely: all you need is an internet connection and a quiet place, nothing more. That's precisely the advantage of the format: access to a doctor trained in (peri)menopause no longer depends on where you live.
Treatment and prescriptions
Can your doctors prescribe MHT?
Yes, when it's medically indicated and you want it. The decision is made by your doctor, after a full assessment of your medical history, never on the basis of a questionnaire alone. If MHT isn't indicated in your case, or if you'd rather not take it, your doctor will suggest a different, non-hormonal approach.
Does MHT carry risks?
Like any treatment, MHT has benefits and risks, and they depend on your personal situation: your medical history, your age, where you are in your menopause. Your doctor assesses them with you, explains them in line with current guidance and reviews your treatment at every appointment.
What if I can't, or don't want to, take hormones?
Yes, it's possible either way. Many women can't take hormones and others would rather not. Your doctor can prescribe non-hormonal treatments backed by scientific evidence. With ReConnect, your health coach also supports you with sleep, nutrition and physical activity.
Are my prescriptions valid at the pharmacy?
Yes. Your prescription is issued electronically and you take it to your usual pharmacy, just like any other prescription. With ReConnect, it's also stored in your app, along with your reports.
Do I need blood tests before the consultation?
They're not required to get started, whether you choose a one-off appointment or ReConnect. If you have recent test results, share them with your doctor: she'll read them before the appointment, which makes it more precise. If new tests are needed, your doctor will order them.
Price, reimbursement, data
How much does it cost?
Three options. A one-off appointment, with no commitment: €150 for the first appointment and €90 for a follow-up. ReConnect Flow: €90 for 3 months, in a single payment. ReConnect Harmony: €300 for 12 months, that's two months free, in one payment or three. With Flow and Harmony, your appointments cost €110 for the initial one and €80 for a follow-up; they're invoiced by your doctor, separately from the subscription. Medicines, food supplements and any tests aren't included.
Is the consultation reimbursed?
Our appointments are private: they aren't covered by the French state health system. Some health insurance policies include an allowance for this kind of care, so it's worth checking yours. The ReConnect subscription isn't reimbursed. Medicines prescribed by your doctor are invoiced by your pharmacy and reimbursed under the usual conditions.
Does Days of Confidence replace my GP?
No. We work alongside your GP, in one specific area: (peri)menopause. She remains your main point of contact for the rest of your health. After each appointment you receive a report that you can pass on to her.
Is my health data protected?
Yes. Your data is hosted with an HDS-certified provider (health data hosting), as required by French regulations. Your reports and prescriptions belong to you: you can download them at any time, during your care and afterwards, and you can ask for them to be deleted.
What happens after my three months?
It's up to you. (Peri)menopause isn't a fixed stage: it often lasts several years, and your body keeps changing. Some symptoms settle, others appear, and a treatment that suits you today may need adjusting tomorrow. At the end of ReConnect Flow, your doctor reviews everything with you at your follow-up appointment. So that your treatment keeps evolving with you, with the same doctor and the same team, you can move on to ReConnect Harmony. You can also stop: your treatment remains valid as set out in your prescription, your documents can still be downloaded and you can book a one-off appointment at any time.
Do your food supplements replace treatment?
No. Our supplements are formulated for this stage of life and support your medical care, they never replace it. Your doctor recommends them when they're useful; they're bought separately. With ReConnect Harmony, we give you a three-month course free.
Understanding (peri)menopause
How do I know if I'm in perimenopause?
Perimenopause usually starts from the age of 40 and is mainly recognised by changing cycles, shorter, longer, irregular, along with a range of symptoms: sleep, mood, energy, memory, hot flushes. From 45 onwards, the diagnosis is based on your symptoms and your cycles, not on a blood test. Our symptom test helps you take stock; only a doctor can give you an answer.
What's the difference between perimenopause and menopause?
Perimenopause is the transition period before periods stop: cycles become irregular and symptoms appear, sometimes years in advance. Menopause is when you haven't had a period for twelve months in a row. In France, the average age of the menopause is around 51.
I'm still having periods, can I start ReConnect?
Yes. Perimenopause begins years before periods stop, and it's often the stage when women are listened to least. It's also the stage where medical care makes the biggest difference, because symptoms take hold long before anyone says the word "menopause".
